We have started the sale of Hungarian State Fishing Licenses and Lake Balaton territorial fishing licenses for 2026. Below you will find the most important information, conditions and prices for foreign anglers.
🎣 Fishing License Information – Hungary & Lake Balaton (2026)
2025 licenses are valid until January 31, 2026.
The deadline for submitting the catch logbook is February 28, 2026.
All fishing licenses can be purchased in our stores by CASH ONLY.

Hungarian State Fishing Licenses can be purchased ONLY at our store:

❌ State fishing licenses are NOT available at the Tesco Marina Center store.
✔️ At Tesco Marina Center, we issue Lake Balaton territorial fishing licenses ONLY.
⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN ANGLERS
A foreign angler may purchase territorial fishing licenses at the prices listed below ONLY IF they meet the same conditions as Hungarian anglers:
- They establish membership in a MOHOSZ-affiliated Hungarian angling association
- They pay the association membership fee and the federation contribution
- They apply for and hold a valid Hungarian Angler Card
If a foreign angler does NOT wish to fulfill these requirements, they may purchase territorial fishing licenses only at 150% of the listed prices, and only with a valid Hungarian State Fishing License.
This regulation is nationwide and based on an official decision of the MOHOSZ Governing Board.
